This article is about the upcoming Changes to SSL Certificates in Nearmap Software.
DigiCert took over validation and issuance for all Symantec Website Security SSL/TLS certificates, and as a result we are going to be reissuing our GeoCert certificate used by Nearmap, on March 3rd, 2018 at 9:00 PM PST. After completing the updates, the SSL/TLS certificates used by Nearmap will be issued by the new Digicert PKI Infrastructure.
Most Nearmap customers will not impacted by the transition to the new CA; you will trust our certificates and no action will be required. Assuming you are using reasonably new and standard libraries and infrastructure, you will not be affected by this change.
The only customers who would potentially be affected by this are customers who use our APIs in non-browser applications, with out-of-date or non-standard libraries and infrastructure.
The certificate reissuing covers the following domains:
Note: Nearmap will perform renewal of certificates before they expire on 26th July 2018.
