Layers Manager is designed to work with Site Planner to help you create more complex custom maps. Layer Manager enables you to:
1. Upload KML files to view them on Nearmap. Each KML file will appear in its own layer so you can easily combine it with other KML files, or with Site Planner objects in different layers.
2. Create layers to hold different Site Planner objects to make it easy to create and manage more complex site plans.
3. Save data between MapBrowser sessions (e.g., so you don't have to upload the same KML every time).
Like Site Planner, this feature is currently in development and will be improved and expanded over coming months. It is only available on certain subscriptions. If you have specific improvements or items you would like added, please contact us via the Email Us link.
Upload KML files
To upload a KML file click on the Import KML button, navigate to the file and click Open.
The KML file will automatically appear in a new layer in Layers Manager and display on PhotoMaps.
You may add multiple files. Each file will appear in its own layer.
Add Site Planner objects
Whenever you first add an object to Site Planner a layer will be automatically created in the Layers Manager to hold those objects.
You can also create new layers by clicking the Add Layer button.
When you add new objects in Site Planner the objects will be added to the currently selected layer in Layers Manager.
To view/hide a layer check/uncheck the box beside the layer.
To delete a layer, select it and then click the trash can button.
To rename a layer, double-click on the layer name and enter the new name in the pop-up window, then click OK.
